Newly-weds Eladio Walker and Meredith Murchinson share a tender moment, following their nuptials at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in Reading, St. James, on Saturday, July 15.

WESTERN BUREAU:

ELADIO WALKER, a director of the Quality Dealers (QD) super store, was united in marriage with his American love, Meredith Murchison, a paralegal with Kapila, a United States liquidating company, last Saturday.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in Reading, Montego Bay, and was officiated by Monsignor Richard Albert.

He reminded the couple that they should never let the sun set on their wrath and must always be ready to forgive.

"You did not meet each other by accident. You were meant to be from creation," he said.

Eladio and Meredith met when they were 15 and 17 years old, respectively. From then, they realised there was a natural flame burning within for each other. They maintained the relationship throughout high school until they finally decided to tie the knot.

"We met in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, through family connections. We've been close ever since and now here we are," said a cheerful Eladio, minutes after they exited the church, as he stood by the walkway lined with white satin fabric covering white poles and decorated with light pink and white orchids.

They were chauffeured in a limousine to the upscale Tryall Hotel for the reception. Upon arrival, they were entertained by the Tropical Harmony Steel Band. Minutes later, the groom escorted his new bride via a golf cart across the course for a series of photographs.

The groom wore beige linen suit with a white Cuban linen shirt and a pair of suede Bucks J Crew shoes. The groomsmen were just as smart , but jacketless. The bride's party wore tiffany blue seersucker dresses.

Mrs. and Mrs. Eladio Walker will spend their two-week honeymoon in Vancouver, British Columbia.
