OH MY word, Luvs. Love is in the air, and then some!

My daahlings, the stork arrived in Florida two nights ago, carrying a bundle of joy for the fabulous Anabella Seaga (now Mrs. Zia-Mian) and her dish of a husband, the dapper Michael Zia-Mian. Their firstborn, Gabriel Mian, arrived in good health and fine spirits on Wednesday night.

Luvs, mother and child are doing quite fine and the grandparents are decidedly over the moon. Mind you, with the news of the birth of his first grandson coming just days before his own birthday, former Prime Minister and former JLP leader The Most Honourable Edward Seaga is simply thrilled. And grand mom, the très elegant Mitsy Seaga is positively glowing with the news.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

No word yet on celebrations for his birthday on Sunday, but the buzz is it will most definitely be a family affair with son, Christopher Seaga (who shares the same birthday as his dad), taking pride of place for any planned celebrations.

Luvs, more anon.

And super wishes to Hedo III's general manager Kevin Levee and his gorgeous daughter, Spencer Levee, who celebrate their special day today.

And speaking of birthdays, the charming lifestyle editor of The Gleaner will blow out the candles on her own birthday cake come this here Monday, as she celebrates another year of good health with family and very close friends over there in the second city of Montego Bay.

Last week Friday evening, however, all social roads led to the corporate headquarters of the Guardsman Group of Companies, as friends, family and well-wishers gathered to break cake and make merry in celebrating the birthday of a number of the group's personnel and a friend, all of whom celebrate their birthday on May 20.

Well my daahlings, it was a love fest and then some, as group marketing and public relations general manager, the stunningly and fabulously lovely Sheila Benjamin-McNeil, Commander George Overton, the lovely Renee Menzies-McCallum, all of the Guardsman Group, along with the charming Carol Charlton, she being head of Immigration and Naturalisation Services, all gathered with friends and family to celebrate the joys and bounties of life.

CHARM FEST

And dears, it was a charm fest and then some, with some fabulous people in attendance, as we spotted Guardsman Group founder/chairman, Kenny Benjamin; Deputy Tourism, Entertainment and Culture Minister, Dr. Wykeham McNeil; the former Mrs. Kenny Benjamin, the stunningly lovely Suzie Benjamin; Rae Barrett; the simply fabulous Toni Parke-Moodie-Panton; Harold Brady; the always fab Janet Farrow; Tanny Shirley; Anil Kalra, in from India; Rajiv Bakshi; the elegant Sonja Sutherland-Dumetz; Evan Williams; Joe English, in from Chicago; David Bell; Maj. Johanna Lewin; Craig Morrison; the fab Audrey Miller; Robert Haughton; Kathy DeSouza; Wayne Richardson; Warren and Leanne Sherman; Gorav Goel, also in from India; and former Deputy Commissioner of Police Ruddy Hamilton; plus several others - all making for a jolly good time and then some!

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

And yes, my dears, love is definitely in the air, and then some, as it's been a while since MiPhone honcho Alex Hill and his oh so 'fabu-lust' wife Cheryl Hill, tied the knot in their native Texas, after a whirlwind courtship and romance that began after knowing each other for sometime before actually showing signs of interest in each other. Anyway, the very charming and oh so hot couple of Alex and Cheryl Hill celebrates their 10th wedding anniversary this here weekend, and not that you or anyone would have thought it, as indeed the couple is not only radiating and basking in the glow of each other's affection, they are positively and purringly in love with each other.

Last week, however, it was time for the affable security consultant Wayne Clarke and his wife, the lovely hotel manager of Hedonism III, the fab Donna Grant, to celebrate their first anniversary, and this they did, at their Runaway Bay residence, in muted style, opting for a quiet do.

And speaking of anniversaries and love!

My dears, it's now official as Darren Lee, the much-celebrated executive chef of the world-famous and celebrated Strawberry Hill Hotel and Spa, got down on his knees over last weekend and asked the love of his life, the lovely Xanu Field, for her hand in marriage, and dears, with the answer being yes, the lovely lass is now sporting a fabulous engagement ring.

Now, no word yet, as to the exact date for the nuptials, but honeys, wait for it as it promises to be all that!

Then, congratulations are definitely in order and extended to the beautiful and lovely Lauren Ayesha Williams (daughter of Evan and Betsy Williams of Red Bones Blues Café fame) upon her graduation from the Manhattan College, New York, with a dual degree in psychology and sociology.

Dears, it was a family do too as mom and dad, Evan and Betsy Williams, along with daughter Enola Williams, joined family friends Claudia Robinson and John Zadie, Rowley Ramirez in the Big Apple for the occasion, with the celebrations continuing way after the officialdom was done and over with at Manhattan College.

Congrats all around and champagne toasts, y'all!

And luvs, it's all about the big fund-raising Crab-Feast in Negril this weekend, so more anon!
