More Air Jamaica flights to meet summer demand
published: Friday | May 26, 2006

IN RESPONSE to passenger demand, Jamaica's national airline, Air Jamaica, says it will increase the number of flights it operates out of select destinations this summer.

Tom Hill, chief revenue officer, said the decision to add the extra flights was based on the demand for additional seats during the busy summer period.

MORE SEATS

During the period June 26 to September 10, Air Jamaica will operate extra flights between Kingston and Montego Bay and New York, as well as between Grenada and New York.

Additionally, the airline will be offering two extra flights each week between New York and Montego Bay, adding approximately 800 seats per week, and four extra flights between Kingston and New York, adding approximately 1,200 seats per week to the original schedule.

Flights between New York and Grenada will now be increased to five flights per week, up from four. This change will add approximately 800 more seats per week to the original schedule.
