THE EXCITEMENT is mounting, as Jamaica's leading artists and photographers get into final gear for the third Annual Liguanea Festival of Fine Art and Photography.

The organising committee promises an improved presentation this year, and plans are in place for the finest art and photography festival ever! With over 50 artists and photographers already confirmed, each of whom will be in attendance in person, the stage is set for a full day of interaction, art activities, workshops, fun, great food, and a great time for the entire family.

Workshops on calligraphy (the art of beautiful handwriting), pottery (three potter's wheels and work can be taken home), tie dye, painting on fabric, ceramic and glass, papermaking, and special activities for the children are been planned throughout the entire day. Catering by Chez Maria (Mediterranean dishes), Vi-Hope (vegetarian dishes) and Mark Anthony's Catering (local fare) will awaken your appetite, as you feast your eyes and open your minds.

Works on display will be exhibited by Christopher Gonzales, Gene Pearson, Phillip Supersad, Kay Sullivan, Jean Taylor-Bushay, Howard Moo Young, Franz Marzouca, Ken Ramsay, Jeremy Francis, Tony Wong, Hugh Wright, Jack Allen, Paul Blackwood, David and Allison Sinclair, Solomon Sinclair, Robert 'Kibo' Thompson, Phillip and Marcia Henry, Clovis Brown, Viv Logan, Lennox Coke, Alphanso Blake, Carol Watson, Casey Ferguson, Webster Campbell, Edward Channer, Sharon Fox-Mould, Betty Glanville, Devon Harvey, Dave Hutchinson, Dalia Jones, Shakira Khan, Michael Layne, Ewan McAnuff, Patsy Mair, Peter Peart.
