Absolutely wonderful!
published: Sunday | March 26, 2006

Devon Reid (left), sales and marketing manager of Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited (CPJ), has the ear of the Marc Hart, CEO and chairman of CPJ, at CPJ's 'Absolut party', held at Christopher's inside The Quad, Trinidad Terrace, New Kingston, on Friday, March 17.

CARIBBEAN PRODUCERS Ltd, the fast-rising wine, spirit and food purveyors of Montego Bay, sent out an invitation which promised to make Kingston an 'Absolut City' last Friday. Well they certainly delivered, with a fabulous party for the 'city slickers' who packed into Christopher's Jazz Bar for the celebration of CPJ's fifth anniversary as distributors of Sweden's celebrated Absolut Vodka.

They brought in famed Florida master mixologist Marvin Ceberio to do a special seminar for bartenders from The Quad and several hotels and clubs Friday afternoon.

Marvin later exhibited his considerable skills as he kept the taste buds titillated with a range of delightful cocktails with Absolut-ly exciting names like Fire, Mind Eraser, Cosmopolitan, Coco-Cane,Vanilia Volcano, Citrus Kick, Mandrinoska, Cool Kid and Peaches and Cream all made from the seven Absolut flavours, which were all on show in an attractive Denis Nugent-designed booth.

CPJ bosses Mark Hart and Tom Tyler along with Sales and Marketing Manager Devon Reid headed the team of affable hosts, while the talented medico-jazz pianist Kathy Brown and her Trio proved a big hit with the crowd of business and media personalities who were there to enjoy yet another memorable Absolut affair.
