'Not About Eve'

Do not miss Sunday Morning Reading Theatre, today at 11:00 a.m., at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts.

Not About Eve is a story written by Karl Williams and directed by Michael Daley. Among the accomplished performers are Lois Kelly-Miller, Makeda Solomon and Sabrena McDonald.

This is the story of three generations of women living together trying to ignore and confront their problems while coping with each other and their own insecurities. There will also be a five-minute presentation by Si Wi Yah Entertainment.

Art donation

The Ambassador of Spain in Jamaica, His Excellency Jesús Silva, will sign a memorandum of understanding with the executive director of the National Gallery, Dr. Jonathan Greenland, to create the framework for future collaborations between the Government of Spain and the National Gallery, tomorrow, at 11:00 a.m. at the National Gallery.

Through this very broad agreement the Government of Spain makes a commitment to the development of the arts in Jamaica, through the provision of resource material to the National Gallery of Jamaica and the promotion and coordination of cultural activities aimed at increasing the exposure of Spanish and Jamaican art in both countries.

A benefit auction of over 100 works follows on April 9 in collaboration with the Edna Manley Foundation.
