Oh, no Carib!
published: Tuesday | January 24, 2006

Late last month I went to Carib 5 to watch the new Harry Potter movie, but had the experience ruined by their management's incompetence. At 8:10 p.m., we were all still standing outside waiting to get inside for an 8:10 p.m. movie. No one said anything to the crowd. We were completely ignored.

Finally, my companion demanded to speak to the manager. Reluctantly he arrived and was about to get upset with the person in the crowd who dared to demand his presence. The impression conveyed was that we didn't deserve a right to know why we were being kept waiting outside for a movie that should have started on time.

He reluctantly explained that the auditorium was still in the process of being cleaned as the movie was very long and they were off to a late start. There was no apology, and no sign of remorse at having patrons waiting outside so long.

To add insult to injury, we were still kept waiting outside. Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure we wouldn't have become so annoyed if someone had just come out and informed us of the situation instead of having us wait endlessly.
