Did you know?
1. All year long there are fruit stalls laden with a wide variety of fresh Jamaican farm products on sale along the Scotts Pass to Porus main road.
2. The railway line owned by the Jamaica Railway Corporation (JRC) runs parallel to the main road for miles. Just look to the hills on the left as you drive towards Porus. One of several tunnels through which passenger trains passed several years ago is located somewhere between Scotts Pass and Porus.
3. As you leave Scotts Pass and approach the Porus area, radio reception is usually very poor because the road is located between the surrounding hilly terrain.
4. Porus square used to be a spot for fresh goat meat on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
5. Mack D's car dealership is one of the popular landmarks in Porus.
