Celebrating Joey's success
published: Sunday | December 11, 2005

On Friday December 2, scores of friends and business associates of Ocho Rios businessman Joey Issa and his wife, Asha, converged on the Jacks Hill residence of Christopher and Michelle Bovell to celebrate his recent achievements. Mr. Issa was recently successful in acquiring the local dealership of Shell Group in partnernship with Neal and Massey of Trinidad.

The celebration was put together by Joey's friend Peter Bovell and his wife Dania and marked the special guest's recent birthday as well as his recent business successes.

Patio, garden, front and backyard were all crammed to capacity with guests from all over the island. Forget the fact that many might not have been invited, they all came out of love and good wishes especially for Asha who is close to giving birth to the
couple's first child.

With greetings out of the way, friends and associates gathered in pockets to discuss everything from politics to crime and the fast-approaching Christmas season. All this between bites of hard dough bread and chicken jerked right there on the Bovell's lawn.

As the music reached exciting levels, guests danced into the wee hours of Saturday morning. And we hope, enough time for the man of the moment to recover from the handshakes and backslaps.
