David Bernard XI batsman Jerome Taylor is bowled for 10 by Tamar Lambert XI fast bowler Andrew Richardson (not in picture) during yesterday's third and final day of the Jamaica practice match at Chedwin Park.

TAMAR LAMBERT'S XI defeated David Bernard Jnr. XI by 34 runs on yesterday's third day of Jamaica's four-day practice match at Chedwin Park.

Final scores in the match: Bernard's XI 190 and 146; Lambert's XI 370.

Lambert, who resumed yesterday's third day on 141 with his team 299 for four and Carlton Baugh at the other end, added 24 to be dismissed for 165.

His innings was laced with 17 fours and two sixes off 280 balls. No other batsman, included Baugh who went first ball for his overnight 20, was able to contribute.

Left-arm pacer Leon Bent, 4-44, and Bevon Brown, 3-83, took the most wickets.

At their second turn at the crease, the Bernard XI innings was built around Keith Hibbert and Andre McCarthy who made 30 each.

Odean Brown, 3-58, Dwight Washington, 2-8, Gareth Breese, 2-48, and Danza Hyatt, 2-14, were the prime bowlers.

The players will engage in a practice session today where each team will be allowed to bat 45 overs in which they are expected to get at least 180 runs.
