Lisa Campbell (second right), common-law wife of slain Caribbean Cement Company employee Wayne Clarke, is comforted by friends and family members at the funeral held at St. Mary's Anglican Church, corner of Molynes Road and Washington Boulevard on Saturday, November 5.
FOLLOWING INTENSIVE investigations by the Elletson Road C.I.B. into the murder of Wayne Clarke, an employee of the Cement Company in Rockfort, another employee has been arrested on the capital charge.
Charged with murder is Lionel Thomas 39, of 7 West, Greater Portmore, St. Catherine.
The Constabulary Communication Network had earlier reported that at about 7:00 a.m., on Monday, October 31, Clarke's body was found in the sea off the Palisadoes Road in Kingston. He was reportedly at work on Saturday, October 29, when he went missing.
Intelligence led investigators to believe that a colleague was instrumental in having Clarke killed. A number of employees were questioned on Tuesday, November 1, and Thomas was implicated. He was formally charged on Friday and is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Tuesday, November 22.
