... Heaven apologises to consumers for gas scare
published: Friday | November 11, 2005

PRESIDENT OF the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association (JGRA), Trevor Heaven, says he is pleased that an agreement has been reached to address the pricing issue with Esso Standard Oil.

At the same time, Mr. Heaven has apologised to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the rush on petrol stations following an announced two-day gas station shutdown.

"I am sincerely hoping that an action like this will not be necessary in the future," Mr. Heaven told a press briefing yesterday morning after signing the agreement with Esso Standard Oil. He said that, in the event of any other disagreements, more dialogue should be facilitated.
