Sex on the Sabbath

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I REFER to The Gleaner, October 6, debate - Should Sabbath keepers have sex on the Sabbath? I would hasten to say no.

God told Moses to tell the children of Israel they should wash their clothes and don't come near their wives for certain days - Exodus 19:9 and Ist Cor. 7:5 "Defraud ye not one another except it be by consent for a season that ye may give yourselves to prayer and fasting". Here, we must understand that, to go to God in holy convocation we must be sanctified and set apart from the flesh and if the Sabbath keepers fall under this category, they must abstain from sex during the holy Sabbath so also all sanctified born-again Christians in all things we must have reverence for God. God help us.
