Portmore Netball League matches on today

THE ISLAND Grill/TVJ-sponsored Portmore Intermediate Netball League continues today with four matches.

Action will see Portsmouth against Hellshire (2:00 p.m.); Waterford Missionary facing Progressive Strikers (3:00 p.m.); Silver Stone Angels meeting Area Seven (4:00 p.m.) and Westchester taking on Bridge-port Youth Sports Club (5:00 p.m.). All games will be played at Bridgeport High School court.

In last week's feature match, Braeton crushed Area Seven (Police) 40-13. Captain and goal shoot Stacey-Ann Allen led Braeton's scoring with 28 of 31.

In other matches, Waterford Missionary defeated Silver Stone Angels 27-21 with twin sisters Deon Black, 19 from 26 attempts, and Dion Black, eight from 10 attempts, leading the way for the winners. Kerrick Caine netted 17 goals from 22 tries for Silver Stone.

Bridgeport secured their second win in as many matches with a 25-21 victory over Jamaica Defence Force while highly fancied Westchester outscored Hellshire 31-19.
