Quarter-final clashes in Len Blake League
published: Sunday | October 2, 2005

THE LAST two semi-finalists in St. Elizabeth's Len Blake/SDC Cricket League will be known today with the playing of the remaining two quarter-final matches.

Todd Town face Comma Pen at Ballards Valley and Uprising host Top Hill at Uprising Sports Club. Both matches are set to start at 10:30 a.m.

The Todd Town versus Comma Pen affair should be the match to be at as both batting line-ups are blessed with hard hitters.

However, Comma Pen, with the Powell brothers, Shane and Troy, along with the Sinclair brothers, Matthew and Donovan, and David Powell, should have the edge.

Todd Town will be relying on the likes of Tracey Powell, Howard Powell, Shawn Findlay and Conroy Miller.

The day's other quarter-final will see the Michael Smith-led Top Hill face an Uprising line-up which includes Uriel Samuels, Anthony Kepple, Wayne Billings, Christopher Dyer and Vernon Boswell.

In the first set of quarter-final matches last week, Ballards Valley, 307-4 27 overs (Andrew Price 138, Tyrone Vassell 85) beat All Century 305 (Marlon Miller 90, Yanick Elliott 80 not out) by six wickets. Cheapside 162 beat Little South Ridge 142, by 20 runs.
