WESTERN BUREAU:

YALLAHS HIGH ended St. Thomas Technical's perfect winning record in the ISSA/Pepsi/Jamaica National daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition yesterday after beating them 4-1 in Zone L (b) action.

Jemel McGowan and Andrew Thomas both scored twice for Yallahs who were scoring their second straight win over the former quarter-finalists and took over the lead in the zone on goal difference.

Both schools are on nine points each but Yallahs boast a plus- nine differential to St. Thomas Technical's plus seven.

DeCarteret College however held unto their 100 per cent win record with a 3-0 win over May Day to stay top of Zone F with nine points, three more than Manchester High who also had a 3-0 win, over Belair High.

Munro College rebounded from their loss to STETHS on Saturday to beat Newell High 2-1, while Balaclava won for the first time this season, edging Lacovia 2-1.

RED HOT GLENMUIR

Today red hot defending champions Glenmuir High and surprise package Denbigh will also be hoping to maintain their own perfect win records when the competition continues with 23 games.

Fresh from their 10-0 thumping of former champions Vere Technical on Saturday, Glenmuir will play away to Kemps Hill at the Gimme-Mi-Bit Sports Complex.

Glenmuir who were unbeaten through last season on their way to three titles, have scored 26 goals in their four previous games and are the only team yet to concede a goal.

Carnell Learmond, who leads the competition with nine goals, will lead the Glenmuir attack that also includes James Thomas and Cornelius Henry.

Kemps Hill were beaten in their last outing, 5-3 by Garvey Maceo.
