MCLEAN
BUSINESSMAN LINNEL McLean was on Saturday re-elected unopposed to a third term as president of the Trelawny Football Association.
McLean, a Jamaica Football Federation vice-president and a man who has presided over the elevation of Village United and Invaders Football Club to the Wray and Nephew National Premier League, was joined on the executive by first vice-president Marlene Brown, who previously served as assistant secretary. Brown, too, was unopposed.
Also on the executive are Brian Douglas, second vice-president, and Jacob Hawkins, third vice-president, both of whom will be serving for the first time. Carol Gentles, who was also unopposed, will also serve her third term as general secretary.
The duo of Hernie Brown and Hugh Porter were elected in absentia to serve as assistant general secretary and treasurer, respectively. It will be the first time for them at the parish level.
