published: Friday | June 24, 2005

THE NATIONAL Junior Golf Committee of the Jamaica Golf Association (JGA) will tee off its 'Family Affair' Scramble tomorrow at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club.

The annual event is used to raise funds for Jamaica's junior team to the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships (CAJGC) which will be held in the Dominican Republic from July 3 -8. The format ensures maximum enjoyment for the competing golfers who will be vying in teams of two in three categories:

Relative/junior - which can comprise parent/child, uncle/nephew, niece/aunt:

Related adults and Friends of junior golfers, which takes into consideration any golfer who wants to compete with a playing partner who is not related.

Expected to compete are Mark and Jonathan Newnham, Larry and Lawrence Bailey, Michael and Adrian Bradford, Bruce and Tiffany Terrier and overall winners from last year Brandon and Peter Chin.

Some top related adults from last year should also be in the lineup again, including Shelley Henrickson and Roy Lynshue, Yvonne and Gordon Munn and Leiza and Mark Blakeley. Sponsors of the event include First Global Bank, RBTT, Alliance Investment Management Co, Sterling Motors, Juici Patties and Boerhinger Ingleheim Pharmaceutical. First tee time is 7:30 a.m.
