THE EDITOR, Sir:
I MUST commend Mayor Notice for his stepping down as Mayor of Spanish Town. I personally believe that he was doing well for the St. Catherine Parish Council; being a citizen of Spanish Town myself, I can see the impact that he has brought to the table. However, in politics your personal life is public discussion, and he has acknowledged that he has done something wrong, has been
forgiven by his wife, so who are we to judge and damage his character even more?
The move that Dr. Notice took is a bold one. If many government representatives would be honest and make that step, then Gordon House and the council would be almost empty today.
STOP JUDGING
Who are we to judge when the lives of sone of us are even worse than that of Dr. Notice? Let us just pray for him and just put away our political differences and encourage him as he continues to lead his Division. Leave all judgment to God.
Dr. Andrew Wheatley, take up from where Dr. Notice has left off and carry the mandate of serving the people of Spanish Town; carry the council to a 'higher level' to serve with dignity and to make the St. Catherine Council a council to reckon with. I have confidence that you will take up the task at hand, but always remember to put God first.
I am, etc.,
