Garrick leads the way for St Ann

ST. ANN, Boys' Town, Portland, Westmoreland, and Young Jamaica all scored outright wins in the Red Stripe Cricket Championship over the weekend.

At Kaiser, led by Leon Garrick's century, St. Ann defeated Hanover by an innings and nine runs.

Scores: Hanover 140 (Hugh Blackwood 41; Xavier Marshall 6-54) and 119 (Orlanzo Harris 5-38).

St. Ann 268 for six declared (Garrick 121, Dennis Evans 49).

At Goodyear Oval, Phillip Keating bowled Boys' Town to their first victory this season, a close 10-run win over St. Thomas.

Scores: Boys' Town 123 (Damion Brown 25; Denva Passely 2-23, Jowayne Robinson 2-23) and 175 (Oniel Weir 35; Robinson 5-48).

St. Thomas 119 (Orlando Jamieson 30; Phillip Keating 4-17) and 169 (Keating 7-59).

At Bounty Hall, Young Jamaica bounced back from losing first innings points to beat Trelawny by eight wickets.

Scores: Trelawny 214 (Dane Johnson 62; Jason Dawes 5-38) and 80 (Duran McLeod 5-34).

Young Jamaica 177 (Christopher Vassell 62; Cordell Simpson 6-56) and 120 for two (Marlon Johnson 43).

At Jamalco, Westmoreland beat Clarendon by 10 wickets.

Scores: Clarendon 90 (Krishmar Santokie 19; Nyron Wilson 3-19) and 125 (Shawn Barton 4-17).

Westmoreland 197 (Dwayne Ewart 53; Santokie 4-47 and Dwight Stewart 3-39) and 90 without loss.

At Folly Oval, Portland defeated Kingston and St. Andrew by an innings and 114 runs.

Scores: Portland 310 (Carl Brissett 71, Garnett White 58 not out, Emelio Reid 51).

Kingston and St. Andrew 96 (Godfrey Flemmings 7-26) and 100 (Carfton Clarke (5-25).

At Jarrett Park, Police took first innings points from St. James.

Scores: St. James 150 (Dalton James 60; Rohn Belight 5-16) and 198 for four (Dalton James 54).

Police 298 (Odean Hutchinson 94, Mark Buchanan 60, Deancourt Wright 58 not out; Kelroy Haughton 8-99).
