Mayberry snatches Peart from First Global
published: Wednesday | April 27, 2005

Vice-president of investments at First Global Financial Services, Gary Peart, will join Mayberry Investments Limited, according to a Wednesday Business source. "He will become the new CEO of Mayberry," the source said.

When contacted, chairman and CEO of Mayberry, Christopher Berry, refused to confirm or deny Mr. Peart's appointment. Emphasizing that there were procedures and protocol in corporate Jamaica that he did not wish to go against, he directed Wednesday Business to Mr. Peart. However, repeated efforts to reach Mr. Peart yesterday were unsuccessful.

Mayberry was listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange last Thursday after the brokerage house's successful initial public offering. With applications from almost eight thousand prospective investors, the offer was oversubscribed by 300 per cent.
