Boys' Town, Bull Bay, JDF advance to semis

RUNAWAY LEADERS Boys' Town, along with Bull Bay and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), have advanced to the semi-finals of the Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association's Jamaica National Super League competition.

Still battling for the final berth are defending champions Santos (27 points), Shortwood United (28) and Mountain View United (26).

The competition continues this afternoon with Shortwood taking on Maverley/Hughenden.

In the games played on Saturday, Boys' Town and Mountain View United played to a 1-1 draw in the feature game played at Excelsior High. Gary McLeod scored for Boys' Town and Paul Campbell for Mountain View.

Santos, with goals from Everton Russell and Gregory Conisingh, beat Rockfort 2-0, Bull Bay were held to a goalless draw by Shortwood. August Town defeated Barbican 2-0 while JDF edged Real Mona 1-0.

In the KSAFA Major League competition; Police National, Meadhaven, Greenwich Town and Rae Town are through to the semis which will begin in two weeks' time.

A lone goal by Neville Jarrett was enough for Police National to defeat Maxfield Park F.C. 1-0. Meadhaven, through goals from David Reid, Gawyne Smith and Kiegel Atkinson, beat Allman/Woodford 3-0. While Anthony Leslie, James Durant (penalty) and Kemar Stephens scored a goal each for Rae Town as they clipped Central Kingston 3-1.

Jason Brown, Marlando Sterling and Richard Orett got a goal each for Brown's Town who beat Duhaney Park 3-1. Despite two goals from their top goalgetter Richard Monroe, Whitfield Town were defeated 3-2 by Greenwich Town.
