Rain stalls other games
published: Sunday | January 9, 2005

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (AP):

RAIN DERAILED the opening of the Carib Beer Series cricket match between defending champions Barbados and the Windward Islands for the second day
yesterday.

Umpires Vincent Bullen and Vivian Johnson cancelled the match at the Three Ws Oval in Cave Hill after an afternoon of steady showers.

GUYANA-TT GAME CANCELLED

Bad weather also forced the cancellation of the game between Guyana and hosts Trinidad for the second day yesterday.

Sunshine returned over the National Cricket Centre yesterday afternoon, but umpires Camal Basdeo and Basil Morgan decided the grounds were too damp after a morning of showers.
