Key Club gets royal proclamation

TO MARK the opening of 'Key Club Week', Governor-General Sir Howard Cooke has signed a proclamation declaring 'Key Club Week' effective November 7.

The proclamation will be read by Key Club Governor Dwight Thompson, declaring the week open, during a Mass to be celebrated at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on North Street, Kingston, on Sunday.

Following Mass, the more than 500 Key Clubbers from all over the Island, who are expected to attend will march around the downtown area of Kingston, led by the Eagles Drum and Bugle Corps.

The celebration will be attended by visitors from Key Club International, including Kiwanis International director, Mike Downs, and international trustee for the Jamaica District, Matt Hamil. Other distinguished guests at the function will be administrators of Circle K, Lloyd Davis and Builders Club, Paul Miller.
