Month at ACIJ THE AFRICAN Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank (ACIJ/JMB) kicks off its annual 'February Month' programme of activities with a poetry reading session today at Liberty Hall, 70 King Street, downtown Kingston, starting at 3:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be noted poet Dr. Lorna Goodison.

THE JAMAICAN Artists & Craftsmen Guild resumes its monthly meetings on February 5. All current and prospective members are asked to attend the meeting, which will be held at Backyaad, 126 Constant Spring Road (opposite Tile City) at 6:00 p.m. and will also include a social.

Afrikan space

MUTUAL GALLERY and Art Centre, 2 Oxford Road, Kingston 5, presents 'Afrikan Space Programme', an exhibition by three artists, K. Khalfani Ra, Khepera Oluiya Hatsheptwa, and Akanni Ankhamun. The exhibition is being organised in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Haitian Revolution.
'Curator's Eye'

'CURATOR'S EYE' exhibition continues at the National Gallery of Jamaica, 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston Mall in downtown Kingston. The show features works by 14 contemporary Jamaican artists and will run through to June 19. Opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Osmond Watson

HI QO Art and Framing Gallery, Shop 19, 1 St. Lucia Avenue in New Kingston, continues to host an exhibition of selected works by renowned artist Osmond Watson. The works are retrospective in nature, illustrating the artist's spiritual and cultural expressions in oil and mixed media. The show is expected to run to January 30, when a second stage will be launched. Opening hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, and on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

THE MINI-EXHIBITION on Kingston continues at the offices of Grace, Kennedy and Company Limited, 73 Harbour Street in downtown Kingston, and will run for the next six months.
