Extradition requests
published: Monday | December 29, 2003

REGARDING THE case of the man losing extradition fight, why should Mr. Forbes or any Jamaican national be extradited to the United States on charges of distribution and importation of marijuana? Why did they not arrest him when he was living in that country?

I do not think the Jamaican Government should get in bed with the United States, of all countries, on these types of requests. No murder was committed by the accused in the United States.

I am, etc.,
