EFFECTIVE SATURDAY, November 15, 2003, Paymaster Jamaica Limited will begin collecting non-immigrant visa fees for the U.S. Embassy in place of the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Non-immigrant visa applicants may visit any branch of Paymaster to pay the Jamaican equivalent of the US$100 visa application fee and collect their receipts a statement from the Embassy in Kingston.
"As of Friday, November 14, 2003, at 5:00 p.m., the Bank of Nova Scotia will no longer sell non-immigrant visa fee receipts. However, the U.S. Embassy will continue to accept valid Bank of Nova Scotia visa fee receipts purchased on or before November 14, 2003, until the receipts expire one year after the date of purchase," the statement said.
NON-IMMIGRANT VISA
As of November 15, non-immigrant visa applicants must schedule their interviews via the Internet directly at a web site to be announced or through the U.S. Embassy web site at http://usembassy.state.gov/kingston/. The appointment booking web site, and links from the U.S. Embassy web site to it, will be available for public access as of Wednesday, November 12, 2003.
All non-immigrant visa applicants who wish to schedule an interview after November 15, must schedule their appointments through the web site. Each applicant will need a valid passport and Paymaster or Bank of Nova Scotia visa fee payment receipt before being able to schedule an interview through the appointment scheduling site on the Internet. The U.S. Embassy will provide detailed instructions on the web site for booking visa interview appointments.
