A tribute to Hartley Neita

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I WANT to extend thanks to Hartley Neita for imparting his wealth of knowledge to us the younger ones, who had little or no knowledge of the past eras. You as a pedagogue have made us a richer people. I wouldn't want to give him a posthumous honour for his invaluable service to journalism and the country on a whole. I want him to know in his living years that we love him, and appreciate him for his tremendous work.
Hartley, you are a national treasure. You are a unique man of true vision, who possess genuine class. Many citations are written of many journalists who died in recent times. I don't want this to happen to you.
A new era will emerge when you are gone. Who will tell us about the past? In your research and experiences you have made us reservoirs of knowledge like yourself. We owe you all the gratitude in the world. May we move from strength to strength in the binding of our beloved nation, for a much more prosperous and progressive future, with the knowledge we have obtained from you.
