Police brutality must stop now
published: Friday | June 6, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT GIVES me great pleasure seeing Mr. Adams do some desk work, after all! His name has been linked to several brutal police shootings. We had some of them in the 1970s, as well when I was growing up in the inner city of 'Kingston 11'.

As a Jamaican living in the United States, we have seen too much of this brutality committed by the police as a protective agency. The Commissioner needs to weed out the bad eggs from the Force, and form a more united Police Force to protect and serve and not to kill innocents.

I am, etc.,
