published: Monday | April 21, 2003

Abe Dabdoub, MP for St. Catherine North Eastern last Thursday gave notice that at the expiration of 21 days he would ask Minister of Land and Environment, Dean Peart, the following questions:

Will the Minister please advise whether or not Lime Cay has been leased by the Government or whether the Government intends to lease Lime Cay?

If the answer to 1 above is in the affirmative,

a) will the Minister advise the name of the lessee and if the lessee be a company, the names of the principals of the lessee Company?

b) will the Minister state the terms and conditions of the lease?

Will the Minister state whether an environmental impact study has been conducted in relation to the use to which the lessee intends to put the property?

Will the Minister state whether the National Environmental Protection Agency has been consulted on the project to lease the property and what is the advice given by them?
