Segregated behaviour
published: Friday | April 4, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I STOOD at the Main Street entrance of Island Village in Ocho Rios on Saturday evening, March 22, 2003, and saw guards refusing entry to the local people while letting the white foreigners into the Island Village. The reason for this segregated behaviour is unknown.

I was surprised to see clean young Jamaicans deprived entry into Island Village, and now I am wondering if our beautiful Ocho Rios is experiencing Australian-like segregation.
