Faithful Sister Ignatius
published: Friday | February 21, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WE THANK the Almighty for Sister Ignatius who is remembered in the daily prayers of hundreds of past students of Alpha Boys' School and countless others who had the good fortune to be in contact with her over the years as a devoted Religious Sister of Mercy - imparting her gifts to train and give a helping hand to the underprivileged in society.

Quite a number of graduates have kept in touch with her - some attained fame - others achieve their goals in the world - and remember her as nurturing their growth in life.

When those from abroad and locally visit the school - which is regarded as Home - and meet Sister Ignatius - there is always a feeling of happiness.

She has been recognised nationally and reference to her in glowing terms made in different countries by past students scattered worldwide - communicated to her in frequent letters - with beneficial gifts for the school.

In keeping with her vows, Sister Ignatius faithfully followed the pattern and goals set by the founders of this Home/School leaving others to follow in her footsteps.

We pray that Sister Ignatius will enjoy everlasting peace.

I am, etc.,

NOEL A. HERMAN, Esq.

Guidance Counsellor (retired)
