Encouraging information
published: Friday | February 21, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WRITE in response to the letter to the Editor, published on February 13, 2003, titled "Help needed RGD."

An investigation of receipt number S188990 revealed that a certificate for Curtis Gary Wilson applied for on May 24, 2001, using the ordinary service (4-6 weeks service) was printed on June 01, 2001 and mailed on August 22, 2001.

However, this certificate was not applied for by Evelyn Rose of P.O., Box 15, Moneague P.O., St. Ann. In fact, the applicant was Amoy Gayle of Farm Town District, Red Valley P.A., St. Ann and the completed certificates were mailed to this customer at this address.

Checks with our North Eastern Regional Office did not reflect an official complaint being submitted, however, we accept that the customer may have done so. We wish to ensure that the customer is satisfied, so if after checking with Red Valley P.A. there is still a challenge please feel free to contact us by calling 984-3041 or by logging on to our website (www.rgd.gov.jm).

We wish to encourage customers to ascertain the details of the information submitted on applications forms. This is especially important if a third party applied on your behalf.

May God bless you.

I am, etc.,

PATRICIA HOLNESS Dr. J.P

Chief Executive Officer

Registrar General and

Deputy Keeper of the Records
