Don't poison the dogs
published: Tuesday | December 24, 2002

THE EDITOR, Sir:

CONGRATS TO the Pesticide Control Authority for doing such a superb job parish-by-parish. Pesticides and insecticides can only be bought or distributed by licensed personnel or RADA-supervised staff. That system is long overdue. These substances are very poisonous and the users should be conscious of the dangers involved if indiscriminately used.

There are people however, who I regard as being degenerates, who use herbicides and pesticides to poison animals, especially dogs.

Serious laws should be put in place to make life miserable for such unscrupulous, social misfits. In these days when crime has escalated out of our wildest dreams, the dog is not only human's best friend, but also their guardian and protector.

I am, etc.,

A Very Concerned Citizen
