MY FATHER, who was in public life a long time ago, had a guiding principle which he often repeated to us. He used to say that if you are in public life, political or otherwise, you must retire when you run out of ideas and begin to repeat yourself.
By this measure, talk-show host, Motty Perkins should have retired long ago; instead he continues to inflict on a long-suffering public a wearying repetition of views, opinions and adages which have become quite boring; but worse than this, betraying the poverty of his mind which is obviously bereft of new ideas.
When this tendency to numbing repetitiveness is coupled with the bitterness and hatred which one detects in Motty's diatribes - then I think we the public should say no more.
You have earned your retirement, Motty, so go quietly before the call for your withdrawal from the airwaves becomes a huge roar.
