Will the JLP ever learn?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

DURING THE election Mr. Seaga tried to package himself as the 'misunderstood, vilified, demonised victim of PNP propaganda.'

Now, days after the election, he's back to his old self true to form issuing his threats to go to the international community (with his grouse) and cursing those he disagrees with. Our Commissioner of Police, Mr. Forbes, is the first (post-election) victim this time around to feel the wrath of Mr. Seaga. Who will be next? How much longer will the JLP stand for this type of conduct from Mr. Seaga?

The longer the JLP "high ups" condone or keep silent with Seaga's public outbursts, the worse off the JLP will be in winning any election in Jamaica. Have they not learnt from the past election? Regardless of the PNP's touted claims of achievements Mr. Seaga was the best thing that the PNP had to ensure winning the election.

In this day of technology, I can just imagine the PNP piling up in their archives utterances of Mr. Seaga, to use for the next election.

The sooner the JLP get Mr. Seaga "off the stage", the better off the party will be. The JLP executives should not allow Mr. Seaga to resign at his pleasure. They should give him walking papers. He should be told to step down, effective immediately.

I am etc.,
