THE EDITOR, Sir:
IT IS with great pride and happiness that I write to commend publicly the many persons who have been of tremendous help to the Mt. Moriah Infant and Primary School.
The Parent Teachers' Association and the churches in the community have played their roles in the school's development.
Of great significance at this time is the help of the many parents and young persons who laboured over many months to construct and equip five flush toilets and a urinal for our students. We thank those who worked hard, those who gave cash and kind to make this dream a reality.
Our special thanks to all our corporate donors who contributed to the project, those who gave cash, those who gave materials as well as those who provided transportation. We thank you all.
We hereby mention the following groups which gave us most of the materials. The United States Agency for International Development who provided most of the materials, Cable and Wireless, Manchester Credit Union, National Commercial Bank, Schools Community Outreach Programme For Education (SCOPE).
We thank our builders and workers who gave so much of their time and expertise as well as those past students who contributed from the United States.
All of the above have helped to prove what good community spirit can do. We wish for you God's bounteous blessings.
I am, etc.,
