Mel Cooke's a sure winner

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM a Jamaican living in Canada, and I must say I look forward to reading The Gleaner everyday. However, I look forward to reading the Thursday paper just to read the articles written by Melville Cooke. I find his views, though I do not always agree with them, to be interesting and his style intriguing.

Each Thursday I read, then print and distribute his articles (with translation if needed) to the girls in my department at work. One Canadian lady in particular has started reading the Thursday Gleaner just to read his article and is quite disappointed when he does not have one published.

Keep up the good work Mr. Cooke, and in my opinion you are now at "jou-", so in 2020 you will surpass the "t".

I am, etc.,
