TONIGHT

AFTER CHAMPS PARTY
Solid Gold Entertainment presents Finish Line - After Champs Party at the Marketplace, Red Hills Road. Featuring Wayne Marshall, Assassin and Frisco Kid. Music by Fire Links, DJ Karim, Code Red and Rendezvous.

BIKINI POOL PARTY
La Face Modelling Agency will be hosting A Bikini Pool Party on the Hill at 58 Golden Acres, Red Hills (Look-out Point) beginning at 5 p.m. Featuring Delly Ranks, General Degree and the La Face Models.

STATIC
D.S.M.F will be hosting Static at the Drunken Dragon on Golden Dragon Complex in Liguanea. Rap and Rave music will be the order of the night. Gates open at 10 and jello shots will be served all night.

WESTERN CONSCIOUSNESS
King of Kings Promotion, in association with Grizzly Entertainment Limited, presents Western Consciousness - A Celebration of Good over Evil at the Llandilo Cultural Centre in Sav-la-Mar. Featuring Capleton, Anthony B, Luciano, Cocoa Tea, George Nooks, Everton Blender, John Holt, Edi Fitzroy, Alton Ellis, DYCR, Nadine Sutherland, Rastareens, Warrior King, Abijah, Bongo Herman, Admiral Tibet, Two-O-Clock and many more. Backing will be provided by Prophecy, gates open 7 p.m. Showtime is 9 p.m.

POETRY READINGS
The Third Annual Conference of the American Studies Association of Jamaica (ASAJ) will be held at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, UWI, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A lecture entitled 'Claude McKay: Literary Revolutionary' will be presented by Columbia University Professor Winston James in honour of Claude McKay. Performances will be given by the students of Claude McKay High School and the Dance School of the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.

LOGOS II GOSPEL FESTIVAL
The Logos II International Festival will be held at the Family Church on the Rock, Cassava Piece, featuring Sons and Daughters, Academy Praise Dancers, Moses, Gallimore and Prodigal Son. There will also be cultural presentations from the crew members of the Logos II Floating Book Fair. Gates open at 4 p.m. Showtime is 6 p.m.

TEEN LINK 2K2
Youth Link and Hype TV presents Teen Link 2K2, a Hip-Hop/Dancehall party series, which will be held at the Jonkanoo Lounge, Hilton Kingston Hotel in New Kingston, this and every Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. There will also be weekly autograph signing sessions and performances from various artistes.

BLACK CHINEY AT MARGARITAVILLE
Miami-based sound system, Black Chiney with SuperDups at the controls will be at Margaritaville in Montego Bay. Doors open at 9 p.m.

THE MATURE MIX
The Mature Mix at the Hilton's Jonkanoo Lounge, continues this and every Saturday. Come and enjoy music from the 70s, 80s and early 90s. The event begins at 8 p.m. and will continue until you say when. Musical juggling will be provided by DJ Johnny Kool.

PARTY TIME
This and every Saturday night, Friends on the Deck, at 51 Hope Road, Kingston 10, will host their Saturday Night Party Time. Music by Deck selectors.

TOMORROW

MUSICAL TRIBUTE
The RCM Music Foundation, in association with The Friends of Samuel Felsted, will be staging A Special Musical Tribute in honour of the 200th Anniversary of the death of the first documented Jamaican composer and organist, at the Kingston Parish Church, South Parade, beginning at 4 p.m. Artistes on show include Marie McMarrow (soprano), Paul Williamson (tenor), Mijke Vnkan (mezzo-soprano), Donald Hosak (organ), Yasus Afari (dub-poet), Kayode Siyanbola (talking drum), Roual Cousley and Claude Edwards (gospel singers), Byard Lancaster (saxophone) and many more.

GET IN THE GROOVE
Sunday nights will come alive with Get in the Groove, featuring music of the 60s, 70s and 80s at the Jonkanoo Lounge, Hilton Kingston Hotel, 77 Knutsford Boulevard. The weekly theme party begins at 7 p.m. and goes up until 'you say when', with music from yesteryear by Andrew Henry. There will also be a prizes and surprises segment, to include special guest acts and give-aways.

JUGGLING AT LITTLE COPA
Weekly juggling sessions are held at the Little Copa Club every Sunday, featuring selections from Father Gemini of Gemini Disco. The session begins at noon and continues until midnight.

REGGAE AND SOCA
TJ's Pit Stop Jerk Centre Restaurant and Sports Bar in Springfield hosts Vintage Reggae and Soca Jam Session every Sunday. The session will get under way at 3 p.m. and run until you say when. Menu includes jerk chicken, roast fish and jerk pork, with fish tea on the house. Free admission.

LITERATURE READINGS
Red Bones - The Blues Café presents 'An Evening of Contemporary Literature Readings' at 8:30 p.m. Featuring poets Sandra 'Sayoya' Alcott and 'Sage' with musical accompaniment by Jill Gibson (keyboard) Donald Waugh (bass).

SKAMANIA
'Live Music in the City' continues its celebration of Jamaican music with SKAMANIA at the Grog Shoppe/Devon House on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. with Maurice Gordon and Friends. Special guest for this month is The Ras Brass, which features Dean Fraser, Nambo Robinson, David Madden, Chico Chin and Everton Gail.
