Published letter reaped results

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I RECEIVED my son's birth certificates from the Registrar-General Department following the publication of my letter in The Gleaner.

The staff at the RGD apologised and were quite nice to me. They made an effort to make up for the delay of over one year. I believe though that the RGD should charge only at the time of delivery of documents or other services.

I thank you very much for your great help in obtaining the documents. This is a clear example that, "The Gleaner, it reaches, it's read, it informs".

I am, etc.,

LESLIE SCARLETT
