Three persons including a seven-year-old student who reportedly went to a river to work on a school project, drowned in the Corporate Area and in Hanover between Friday and yesterday.

The Constabulary Communi-cation Network gave their names as Romaine Dacres, of Luna district in St. Andrew, who was a student of the Lawrence Tavern Primary School and Deano King, aged 14, of Woodland district, Hanover. The third victim whose body was found in the Kingston Harbour yesterday morning, was still not identified up to press time, but the police said that he is believed to be about 35 years old.

The police said that young Romaine and his eight-year-old cousin, reportedly went to the Kakka River, Lawrence Tavern, at about 5:00 p.m., to do a school project. He was reportedly in the water when he got into difficulties and drowned. His body was removed for a post-mortem examination.

Deano, the police said, went to the river with two other boys to bathe, at about 4:50 p.m. He was swimming when he got into difficulties.

The body of the unidentified man was discovered in the sea by a passer-by who summoned the police. The body is of dark complexion, medium built, about 170 centimetres (5 ft. 7 ins.) tall and was clad in a black and green T-shirt, blue jeans pants and a pair of black shoes.
