VARIED styles and textures from the periods of crinoline, velvet, lace and contemporary micro fibres were used to make the 18th century-themed costumes that the Miss Black Nude Burlesque dancers wore on stage at Hedonism II on Saturday night.
The 10 black Burlesque dancers, depicting the meaning of the phrase 'To Tease' came out dressed elegantly in corsets, custom masks, satin gloves, fish net thigh highs and stilettos.
Glamorous boa feathers complemented the fabulous costumes that the dancers hid behind, before unveiling belly buttons, muscular buttocks and thighs, tattooed pubic areas, clitoral rings and studded nipples.
Appearing as temptresses of no mean order, the 10 dancers seduced the Hedonism II audience with delightful acrobatic stunts, sensuous movements of the hips, teasing and showcasing full nudity to a more than satisfied audience.
The Burlesque dancers used their trademark boa feathers and music to entice the crowd, performing their dance of temptation, basking in the art form of the true Burlesque Diva, Gypsy Rose Lee.
The dancers, who are either former competitors or winners of the Miss Black Nude Competition, were first introduced to the hedonistic property by HBO television four years ago.
"The HBO Real Sex series did a special feature of the show at the hotel in 1997 and since that time the owners of Club 55 in Washington, Don and Deloris, Dickson have been coming back to the property to put on their own show," says Joseph Smith, General Manager of Hedonism II.
The sex and comedy variety show invented by Michael B Leavitt was originally intended for a male audience. England was the first country to have the creative show in 1866 and then it was taken to saloons in the United States in the 1900s.
"It was dead for a long time, but Club 55 and a number of places in Las Vegas are bringing it back," says Deloris Dickson, organizer of the event.
