Keeping the guns out

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT SEEMS that a window of opportunity has opened for us in our struggle to keep guns and ammunition out of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. The United States is debating tighter airport security. Is there the remotest possibility that we could get a word in on that, maybe as a region?

Don't much of the illegal guns and ammunition on our streets come through U.S. airports? Just a thought.
