Triple murder in Bayshore Park

By Glenroy Sinclair, Staff Reporter

WHILE THE police say they are probing a number of leads into yesterday's triple murder, in Bayshore Park, St. Andrew, residents allege that the victims were executed by their own associates.

"A nuh outside man dem do de killing, a man inside do it," said a resident from the community.

They have been identified as Omar Davis, 21, alias "Jubby", his younger cousin Donald Thomspon, 19, alias "Tommy" and a third man identified as Oneil Davis, 25. The three were found with multiple gunshot wounds about 6:30 a.m.

This is the fifth triple murder since January, which also pushed the murder toll to 968.

It is alleged the men were involved in an internal conflict in the community. As a result of the feud, at least one house was set ablaze and the occupant is still missing.

There are also reports that the victims were seen several times moving about the community on Sunday, in a manner which residents described as "suspicious". Preliminary investigations reveal that one of the men was put to lie down on the ground, then shot five times in the chest. He died on the spot. According to the police, this was based on evidence detected at the murder scene yesterday morning.

The lawmen found 18 spent shells and a home-made shotgun with seven rounds of ammunition at the scene. These will be sent to the Government Forensic Laboratory for testing.

Among the angles the police are probing, are reports that a number of men from the Bayshore Park community were involved in the robbery of several motorists whose vehicles broke down along the Rockfort main road during the heavy rains which lashed the island over the weekend.

It is unclear if the victims were involved in the robbery and were subsequently attacked by criminals.
