We need to unite now, or perish

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PATRIOTISM AND unity are the only cures for all Jamaica's present ills, outside of us following the teachings of Jesus our Lord, love thy neighbour as thyself.

Let the leaders of the four present political parties, PNP, JLP, NDM and UPP know that they are part and parcel of all the confusion and uncertainties in our country. Let's face it, the more political groups are formed the more confusion we have. These four parties have one thing in common: to divide and rule and to feed the people's mind with false hopes is the art of politics. Let these groups show their patriotism and unite for the good and peace of all Jamaica.

Let none say their people and our people because saying this is like giving weapons to your troops and saying go kill your enemies. This language should be ruled immoral. Unity is the way and our Lord Jesus tells us that a house divided amongst itself must fall. Let us also remember that it was confusion which stopped the building of the Tower of Babel. And, of course, I can recommend our Lord Jesus to all in these troubled times. He can help us if we trust him.
