Time for improvement C&W

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am (still) a customer of Cable & Wireless Jamaica, and at this point my cry out is in regards to their cellular service. When is this company going to get it's act together? When are we the post-paid customers going to get a fair deal? It is clear that the over $700 access fee is a rip-off.

If activation is a "one-time payment" for pre-paid customers then where is the rationale for the monthly "stick-up" that is afforded us. At the very least it should be significantly reduced I dont expect much help from Mr. Haye as there is a GCT tax added on, so the Government benefits.

I am totally fed up with the 'sometime service' that CWJ mobile has been supplying me, but I am still not ready to move over to Digicel as I am hoping that the new competitive arena will force CWJ to offer us not only an improved service but also better rates.

I am, etc.,
