'Butch' Stewart to address Carib hotel conference

Gordon "Butch" Stewart, founder and chairman of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, will present the keynote address at the opening ceremony to delegates attending the Caribbean Hotel Industry Conference (CHIC 2001), which is taking place June 10-13, 2001 at the Wyndham El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Mr. Stewart will speak about the state of tourism in the Caribbean and the importance of the upcoming Heads of Government Tourism Summit.

John Bell, director general and CEO of the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), said, "We are quite pleased that Gordon "Butch" Stewart will lend his expertise at the CHIC conference by providing insight on the evolving Caribbean tourism industry."
