Sergeant Ainsley Clark

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD publicly like to thank the gentleman who on Sunday, April 22 stopped to assist me in the rain when my tyre punctured.

Sergeant Ainsley Clark (a stranger to me) was in plainclothes and on his way home when he saw me pull off the road. He did a U-turn and offered his services in a most courteous manner. As I drive a large SUV the process of tyre changing is a heavy and cumbersome one. So I truly appreciated Sgt. Clark's generosity, kindness and good citizenship he is a tribute to the police force.

I am, etc.,

P.J. STEWART
