Gun action and inaction

THE EDITOR, Sir:

LLOYD WILLIAMS' commentary ("Waiting in vain") is timely, highlighting the conditions of life for the majority residents in the Balcombe Drive/Waterhouse community.

Indeed, for sometime now there has been a steady decline in the population therein, due to gun violence and inaction from both political parties.

The killing highlighted by your writer is but one in a long list in that community since 1990.

The others include: Dirty; Witty; Comic; Bougler; Robert; Richie; Ricardo; Princess; Andrew; Clinton Neita; Charm; Sanchez; Passo; Dave White; Salla; Omar; Deanie; Ricky; Nash; Maxie; Mr. Wing; Alva;; Ms. Shirley; Squecie; Bones; Royo; Breads; Mellon; Stary; Cubie; Leggie; Jahman.

All gone since 1990 and we have not heard a word from either MP Holness or O.T. Williams. May their souls rest in peace.

I am etc.,

MICHAEL NEITA
