Focus on 'St Bess', please

THE EDITOR, Madam:

IT IS with a deep sense of concern that I write this letter. I am quite sure that a lot of persons are unaware of the nonsensical aim of the St. Elizabeth Home-coming Committee to have its annual Home Coming Week function in Kingston! Let me emphasise Kingston! Not St. Elizabeth! How can a group of highly esteemed businessmen and business women think of hosting a function for a parish in a different parish?

This group needs to focus on the needs of St. Elizabeth instead of the need to be at the Hilton Hotel.

Committee members, I beseech you to leave the Hilton Hotel for the Doctor Bird Awards and look around our large yet beautiful parish of St. Elizabeth, for our own "Hilton Hotel'.
